It has recently become widely accepted in the scientific community that climate change will lead to both incremental and rapid ecological change and disruption. The impact of climate change, which includes increased droughts, desertification, sea-level rise as well as the more frequent occurrence of extreme weather events, will lead to a growing number of people displaced from their country of origin. Although climate change will impact people across the globe, the people in the African region who will be among the hardest hit, have contributed the least to the causes of this man-made problem.

This Workshop Day is designed to bring together people from different fields of expertise and experience to raise awareness and develop new ideas around the described issues. Our aim is to offer an inspiring environment and intriguing discussions about the links between Climate Change and Migration with a focus on Europe and Africa. You will have the chance to gain a deeper insight into issues related to the on the ground effects of climate change and build networks with other inspiring people and organisations. In addition, you will be able to share your input and assist in creating new projects that aim to tackle this challenge.
So take your calendar, mark the date and join us for the Workshop Day!

The event will be held in English.

The number of participants is limited to 35, so make sure to apply as soon as possible.
