How city councils and local community action can turn the tide on
climate change.
Our guest today is Adrian Whitehead from CACE: Community Action in the
Climate Emergency.
CACE encourages local government and city councils to take drastic
action for a safe climate. They have worked with over 30 councils in
four countries to declare a state of climate emergency – for example,
Vancouver, Bristol and Halifax.
Adrian will give a brief presentation about their work and is then
available for any questions.
Adrian will explain how to organize your own campaigns and how to
influence local politics. We will also talk about his personal
motivations, his background and what led him to this line of activism.
