Workshops for preparation
In the run-up to the action week, there are general information evenings, action trainings for civil disobedience and legal assistance workshops in different cities in Austria and beyond. The Climate Camp program also offers action preparation workshops. Especially action newcomers are advised to participate in an action training to get acquainted with different forms of action and to try out tactics in practical exercises. In legal training workshops you will learn about basic legal principles of civil disobedience actions, behavior during the action and e.g. what you need an EA number for. Please check with the facilitators how to organize the best form of translation.

Form affinity groups
In the run-up to the action days, find a maximum of 7 other people with whom you would like to go into the action as an affinity group (BG). During the action you look after each other as a group, discuss how far you want to go, how you feel, what you feel like doing. You can print out this checklist and discuss the questions calmly in the BG before the action.
By the way, action trainings and action plenaries are good opportunities to find an affinity group.
Action consensus and hygiene concept
Read the action consensus and the hygiene concept carefully before the action on May 25th! Act within the framework of the action consensus and follow the guidelines of the hygiene concept.
Legal
Especially action newcomers (in Austria & also all others) are advised to participate in a legal training workshop. Please check with the facilitators how to organize the best form of translation. In addition, the legal assistance brochure also provides you with a lot of information (unfortunately only in German for now).
Check or provide a place to sleep
Sleeping places are available at the Lobau camp or at the bed exchange for the action days.
Packing list
Go through the packing list. There you will find tips on what to take with you to the action on May 25th and what you should rather leave at home.
Action Plenaries
Appoint a delegate in your affinity group to attend at least one action plenary during the action week. The action plenaries will take place on the following evenings:

There you will get the last important information. Please wear a FFP2 mask during the action plenaries!
Make the action possible
Even if you don’t want to go to the civil disobedience action on May 25th, we would be very happy if you support us with numerous tasks in the background. Write an email to sc-helpinghands@riseup.net (PGP). This way you will get a selection of open tasks and can decide for yourself how you can make yourself useful.
