Starting in Vienna by bus, we travel to the Rheinland together:
Departure: Thursday, 25th October, 7 p.m., Erdberg, Vienna
Return: Monday 29th, October (29.10), day bus and overnight bus from Cologne Main Station.

What is Ende Gelände?
To prevent a climate catastrophe, coal has to stay in the ground. Everyone knows, but nothing happens so far. The Federal Government supports the climate-damaging industries and disregards their own inadequate climate goals. Instead of immediately shutting down the coal-fired power plants, they are wasting more valuable time. But there is no time left: people are already suffering from droughts, losing their homes due to extreme weather events, and are being killed by climate-related infections and hunger. Therefore, it is our job to stop climate destruction where it is being produced!
In October 2018, Ende Gelände calls to oppose the damaging coal industry at the Hambach Forest coal mining. Together we rise against the absurd compulsion of steady growth. The edge of the nearby coal pit keeps on destroying the landscape. Only a small part of the once huge forest has been preserved. At the same time – after the successful grubbing-up prevention in 2017 – the “Hambi” becomes the living symbol of resistance to the fossil energy industry for more and more people. With a mass action of civil disobedience and thousands of people we will join this climate justice struggle in October.
